Procedure for registration as a member of the LCCI

The required steps/processes to be acommplised before you can be confirmed a member

Certificate of Incorporation

The company must be duly incorporated to carry out business in Nigeria, photo copy of the Certificate of Incorporation to be submitted alongside the filled form.

Valid Office Address

The company must have a registered office in Lagos or its environs.

Financers

For application to be valid, prospective members should either be sponsored by two financial members of LCCI or present two reference letters from their Bankers, and/ or Legal Practitioners (Notary Public)

Deliverables & Mailings

To qualify as LCCI Member, a registration process must be taken on our membership site. Upon completion of this process, membership information and most importantly a token is generated, which is expected to be printed out by prospective members; as this information would be required for payment on NIBBS e-Bills Pay or at any Bank within the state..


Completed Application Form together with Company’s Certificate of Incorporation/Registration should be returned to the Director-General Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Commerce House 1, Idowu Taylor Street, Victoria Island, P.O. box 109, Lagos or submitted online

What you stand to gain

As a member of LCCI you have access to business opportunities with 60% of the Lagos business community who are members of the LCCI. The benefits of being a member are:

  • POLICY ADVOCACY - Policy Advocacy at the LCCI remains a core mandate. This is done through our various programmes such Business Environment Roundtable, Quarterly Business Luncheon, Quarterly Press Briefing, Press releases, Groups’ Seminars/Symposia, Business Networking, Stakeholders’ Forum and Representations to Federal & State Governments and their Agencies.
  • BUSINESS ADVISORY SERVICES - The Secretariat has been strengthened to provide business advisory services to members. While non-members will pay the commercial rates for such services, LCCI members’ fees should be subsidized. The Chamber also offers business information on export, import, economic policies, trade fairs, etc. to members.
  • INWARD AND OUTWARD TRADE MISSION - Members have frequent opportunities to visit exhibitions abroad. Similarly, the Chamber offers a platform for interaction and networking with trade missions from different countries inward.
  • TRADE DOCUMENTATION - The provision of Trade documentation services such as issuance of Certificate of Origin and other international documentation is offered to members at subsidized ratesDISCOUNT FOR 
  • LETTERS OF INTRODUCTION TO EMBASSIES - Members who intend to travel abroad will be given letters of introduction (on request) to facilitate Visa application.
  • .WEBSITE FOR MEMBERS - This service will be offered to members who may not be able to afford the cost of developing elaborate websites for their companies. The simple site can be developed for them at a minimal charge.
  • LOUNGE FOR MEMBERS - The Chamber has provided a lounge for the comfort of members at Commerce House, Victoria Island. Internet services will be available in the lounge while tea, coffee; biscuits could be served at a moderate fee. Members are allowed a maximum of two guests at a time.
  • DISCOUNT FOR PARTICIPATION AT THE LAGOS INTERNATIONAL TRADEFAIR - Members will enjoy a discount on participation fees in the annual Lagos International Trade Fair, organised by the chamber. This discount ranges between 2.5% and 10%, depending on the membership category.
  • DISCOUNT ON CHAMBER'S SERVICES - Fee paying services of the Chamber shall be offered to members at a discounted rate. The discount would range from 5% to 20%, depending on the Membership category. These include training programmes, workshop, trade fairs, hall and office rentals, etc
  • ARBITRATION, MEDIATION & CONCILIATION - The services of the Lagos Chamber Arbitration Centre will be made available to members at a subsidized rate.
